Summer is in full force…YAY! The kids are loving it, and if you’re like me, they’re driving you a bit nuts with all the time they have on their hands. I try to plan as many summer activities as possible…summer school, day adventures, pool days and park days….this way they stay occupied and active outdoors. In my house, I find it almost impossible to eat healthy all the time, and I have to admit a chocolate pudding or Popsicle just screams SUMMER, doesn’t it? So in an effort to keep
my your household healthy, and make me you feel better about all the junk food your kids are eating this summer, I decided to put together a few kid-friendly summer recipes to try.

Muffins are awesome for breakfast, but I even make these in bulk and pack them in freezer bags to take out a thaw as needed. Talk about whipping up a healthy brunch on the weekend in just a few mins! These are packed with fiber
I LOVE Broccoli…actually, my kids do too! They actually eat all of their broccoli when we are having it for dinner. Peas, on the other hand-totally different story! Here’s a yummy broccoli recipe to get those kiddies loving their veggies.

O.K, this smoothie is for everyone. I just love the banana strawberry combo, don’t you? If you have a blender, feel free to try what ever fruit you have on hand. I sometimes add 1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt to my smoothies.
